I want to talk to you about style, you’re obviously a style icon. Can you talk us through your outfit?
Sure, well it was sunny today so I thought I’d wear bright colours, so I’ve basically got a shirt dress, I have no idea where it’s from. I’ve got these boots from All Saints, I wear them all the time at the moment, if you’ve got a girly, floaty dress then you can put some boots on to give it a rock chick vibe.

And you love chains?
Yeah I love accessories, I always have lots of rings or chains or something in my hair.

You designed a range for Lipsy, Pixie loves Lipsy, can you tell me how that came about?
Yeah, the opportunity came up to collaborate with a high street store, Lipsy came up and I was really up for it, I don’t think any girl would turn down creating their own fashion line. So that was loads of fun and it was Spring/Summer and I wanted to do a festival range, because I love festivals, I love dressing up for festivals, and partywear because I like to go out with my friends too. Then we’ve got the Autumn/Winter which comes out later in the year.

And what can we expect from that?
It’s very different from the Spring/Summer, I’m very excited about it. There’s a section called Pixie Rocks which is kind of rocky stuff, then there’s the going out dresses which are more inspired by Bridget Bardot, Audrey Hepburn and Edie Sedgwick and all my favourite fashion icons.

Big fashion icons…is there anyone who inspires you most within fashion?
I’d have to say two, Audrey and Edie…

Outside of the world of fashion, do you have anyone you really look up to, they’ve been a real inspiration, either musically or in your life?
Musically, I grew up listening to big voices like Whitney [Houston] or Mariah [Carey] and Stevie Wonder, but in life in general I’d have to say my mum, because she’s always been there with me, such a great supporter and got me to where I am.

We’ve got a haute couture going on at the moment and with fashion week coming up, are there any designers you like to keep an out for, or do you prefer to keep it quite high-street?
My favourite is probably Chanel, but I love Mulberry, Balenciaga, Fendi, Moschino, D&G so many…

How do you like to relax of a weekend?
If I was relaxing I’d have to say I’d have a friend over and we’d get a Blockbuster and an Indian or pizza and just chill out.

When are you most happy?
When I’m on stage performing.

And what would be your ultimate ambition?
I just want to keep going, make sure it’s long lasting, because I feel so lucky to have the opportunities of the past year and I just want to make sure I have longevity.
