Christmas message from Pixie

I forgot to post this, but Pixie sent a letter to her crazy cats. You can read it now below.

Hi Caaaats,

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas! Hope you all have the most amazing day and Santa brought you what you hoped for!

I’m at home chilling with the fam for xmas- it’s my fave time of year. So nice to take time out and spend time with my parents and my bro and sis.

It’s been an amazing 6 months and I couldn’t have done it without all of your support. Thanks for helping me get my third number 1 single with ‘All About Tonight’ and to everyone who has supported my album ‘Young Foolish Happy’, it means so much to me. I’ll be performing ‘All About Tonight’ on Christmas Top of the Pops at 2pm on BBC1 today so make sure you tune in!

My next single is ‘Kiss the Stars’. Really excited about the video which was choreographed by my old teacher from Italia Conti Pat Dennison. Look out for more info on that plus lots more coming in January…

Pixie Lott says ‘Crazy Cats’ tour was career highlight so far

Pixie Lott has named headlining her own UK tour as her personal highlight of the past twelve months.

The ‘All About Tonight’ singer said progressing from being a support act to opening her own ‘Crazy Cats’ tour at the end of 2010 was a special moment for her as a recording artist.

“I love performing so, my tour, when I had my own headline tour,” Pixie told Capital FM.

“I’ve been a support act a couple of times but I did my own tour this time last year actually and it was amazing,” she explained. “Just so much fun to go around and meet all the cats and perform with my band. So much fun. That’s the big one.”

Pixie also named performing at the Jingle Bell Ball as another of her 2011 highlights and named the event as one of her “favourite shows to play”.

Pixie Lott is due to release ‘Kiss the Stars’ as the next single from her second album ‘Young Foolish Happy’.

Pixie Lott reveals how she stays so slim – and who her celeb crush is!

We’d swap our legs for Pixie Lott’s toned pins any day of the week – but unfortunately for us, they come at a hefty price.

The singer told us she works very hard to keep herself slim, and admits she stays away from bad foods to stay in shape.

Pixie said: “I like to stay active and I generally like the taste of more healthy foods, so I’m lucky there.

“I like to dance as well – dancing in my music videos and for performances – so when I’m busy it helps that exercise is there in my schedule already.”

This year has been one heck of a rollercoaster for the 20-year-old, with the release of her second album and her clothing line for Lipsy keeping her busy.

So we jumped at the chance to ask her a few questions before she settled down for a well-deserved Christmas break…

What are you most looking forward to in 2012?
Hopefully there will be some new singles off the album and hopefully I’ll be touring, so that would be what I’m most looking forward to.

Is there anyone you’d like to work with in 2012?
I’ve done some amazing collaborations for my new album already with John Legend, Stevie Wonder and Pusha T and I’ve done collaborations with other artists on their albums – Tinchy Stryder and Lionel Richie.
I didn’t do any collaborations on my first album but I’ve really enjoyed it this time around so I definitely hope to do more.

Little Mix won this year’s X Factor, but what do you think about reality singing shows?
They’re a great platform for artists who can instantly have fans and lots of exposure, and a great platform for getting voices heard and making it in the business.

Do you have any special routines that you take part in before a big gig?
It’s a case of getting ready in whatever time I’ve got! But before a gig I’d make some extra time to warm up with my guitarist, drink hot drinks, have steamers and stuff like that.

Do you have any celebrity crushes at the moment?
Ashton Kutcher, James Franco and Hayden Christensen!

Wow! Be honest, do you have a secret crush on One Direction?
They’re all very cute boys and they’re doing very well so I wish them all the best.

What are your plans for New Year’s Eve this year?
If I’m not away on holiday, which I’m going to try and do, I will be out with all of my friends to some party somewhere, just having a good time hopefully!

Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
Well, my New Year’s resolution for this year was to learn to drive and pass my test and that hasn’t happened yet, so if that doesn’t happen this year I will probably carry that one next year!

Do you have any post-Christmas fitness tips?
When it’s Christmas I think everyone should just have fun and not worry too much about all of that. Enjoy your Christmas dinner and your Christmas drinks!

If you could turn back the clock five years, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Just to make sure you enjoy yourself, always work hard and be patient because hard work pays off.

One Direction, Pixie Lott and Jessie J reveal new year resolutions

One Direction and Pixie Lott have been speaking to Capital FM about their New Year resolutions for 2012.

Jessie J, James Morrison and Jason Derulo also admitted that they were hoping to achieve some personal goals next year.

One Direction’s Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson all want to hit the gym in 2012, although all three admitted they might struggle to find the motivation.

“I’d love to say my new year’s resolution is to go to the gym more but realistically it’s not going to happen. I’m a little bit too lazy,” Louis said. “So just to eat a little bit healthier.”

As well as hit the gym, Niall also hopes to pass his driving next year – a resolution shared by band mate Harry Styles and Pixie Lott.

The ‘Young Foolish Happy’ star said: “I had a New Year’s resolution last year to learn how to drive and that hasn’t happened so far, and I can’t see myself doing that before the end of the year, so I think I’m going to ride it out into next year.”

In contrast to those seeking gym bodies, Jessie J said one of her resolutions in 2012 was to gain weight.

“Gain weight. Have more fun. Be more independent. Make amazing music,” she said.

Jason Derulo said he wanted to try and stop being late in 2012 – “I’m late a lot” – while Wretch 32 is going to stick to a resolution he made last year.

“I made a resolution last year not to make any more resolutions so I’m going to be sticking to that,” he said.
