Pixie Lott took a backseat in the spotlight last night as she watched her beloved boyfriend, model Oliver Cheshire, host The Global Gift Gala presented by Sheeva Jewellery at the ME Hotel in London. The singer rocked up to Eva Longoria’s star-studded event to support the charity auction which raised over £400,000.
And while Victoria Beckham stole the headlines for her surprise appearance, Pixie and Oliver have been racking up column inches for chatting about just how devoted they are to each other. While whispers are circulating that the pair could tie the knot in the near future, what we really wanted to know, was when the pair are planning on working together…
With our exclusive Access All Areas pass at last night’s event, we caught up with both young stars to talk fame, love, and exciting career steps. Dressed in a stunning pastel pink Moschino dress, with metallic pink Dior shoes, a seriously cool Chanel phone case and 18ct diamond white gold and pearl Yoko London earrings, Pixie told us: ‘I’m really excited, I think it’s going to be a fun evening.’ And as for Oliver’s presenting gig? She added: ‘Ah I’m so happy! I am, I just can’t wait to see him up there.’
We grilled Pixie on whether she could see herself and Oliver hooking up for a steamy Burberry-style ad like Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge. She told us: ‘Oh they looked great, Ollie’s a great model and obviously I’m with Select Models but I don’t know. I love so many brands, it’s unreal, like all the brands I’m wearing tonight are definitely top up there on my list [to work with].
So would she be happy to share the spotlight with him? ‘Obviously, he’s my boyfriend, but he does really well by himself. He’s doing a really great job and I’m focussing more on – like I always will be – my music, so that’s always going to be my number one.
‘My new album’s out next year and it’s all finished so everyone’s going to hear the new single really soon and see the new video and the new photos. Because it’s a new sound – it’s more influenced from soul music – I wanted to make more of a statement and not do any more collaborations coming back. I did quite a lot on my last album. [Ollie] really likes it. He might be a bit biased but he really likes it. That’s what he said, anyway!’
