Colgate Keeping Britain Smiling

Colgate is working with Pixie Lott who is creating a charity single to raise £100,000 for Barnardo’s to help disadvantaged children in the UK. She has recorded the single already, but is asking for all of Britain to be involved in making the music video, which they can do by contributing their smile, voice and dance moves to the video. The song is 90′s hit ‘I Love Your Smile’.

Pixie Lott won’t be moving in with her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire

Having bemoaned that she had never had a serious boyfriend, things have definitely been looking-up in the romance stakes for Pixie Lott.

But although she is deliriously happy with her model boyfriend Oliver Cheshire who she has been with for 18 months, she has no plans to take things further.

However, the pop star hasn’t ruled out that he might be ‘The One’, even though they are both quite young.

Pixie, who just turned 21, was speaking to Look magazine to accompany a photo shoot when the chat turned to her relationship with Oliver.

She gushed about her handsome beau, who is taking her to Venice for her 21st birthday, and said it was a very thoughtful gift.

She said: ‘I’ve always said I want to go there because I love Italy, so I can’t wait. He wrapped up a bottle of wine from Venice, a guidebook and made a little gondola out of penne pasta with pasta figures of him and me on it. It must have taken him ages. It was so cute! He’s quite thoughtful and creative.’

But she said that he has no plans to propose to her on a gondola and when asked if he was The One, she said: ‘I don’t know, we’re so young. We’ve been together for a year and a half, which isn’t that long in the grand scheme of things, but it is for me. It’s the longest I’ve ever been with someone.

She said: ‘It’s too soon to say. We live ridiculously close, so it would be pointless. We’d lose the magic!’

She also said she has no plans to move in with him even though she just bought her first property, a ‘little flat in east London’.

Pixie, who recently chopped off her wavy locks for a shorter, sassier style, turned the milestone age of 21 on January 12 and celebrated with a huge party with her friends and family – and JLS.

She said: ‘I always wanted to have a big 21st. All my family and friends were there, JLS came down and my dad did the best speech ever, which I wasn’t expecting. I got a bit emotional.’

And she joked: ‘At least when I go to America now I can get into the bars. I don’t have to sneak in anymore!’

With a string of hit singles and two albums under her belt already, she is already established as one of the UK rising pop stars. But she said she won’t let fame go to her head and make her do anything stupid.

She said: ‘I’m not going to pretend I’m some crazy reckless person. I’m just a normal 21-year-old, who likes to go out and have fun.

‘People say it’s easy to get into drugs in this industry, but I don’t think that’s the case. Every kid sees it growing up, but I think if I was going to do it, I would have by now. All my friends are the same as me.’
