Pixie’s debut album, ‘Turn It Up’, was released 3 years ago today. The album debuted at number six on the UK Albums Chart. The album’s first two singles, ‘Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)’ and ‘Boys and Girls’, both peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart. The British Phonographic Industry certified the album double platinum, with sales of over one million copies in the UK. The album was re-released as ‘Turn It Up Louder’ on 18 October 2010 and includes nine other bonus songs. It became the UK’s fifty-third best-selling album of 2009 and the eighteenth best-selling album of 2010.

Izzy Lee has released a mixtape, titled ‘Graduate’, on SoundCloud earlier today and Pixie is featured on two tracks, ‘It’s Gonna Be Good’ and ‘Chills’. Listen to them below.
Pixie released her first song ‘Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)’ three years ago today. The single debuted at number one on the UK Chart and was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 200,000 copies. The single reached the top forty in eleven other countries, including top ten peaks of number eight in Denmark, number nine in Hungary and number ten in France.

Colgate is working with Pixie Lott who is creating a charity single to raise £100,000 for Barnardo’s to help disadvantaged children in the UK. She has recorded the single already, but is asking for all of Britain to be involved in making the music video, which they can do by contributing their smile, voice and dance moves to the video. The song is 90’s hit ‘I Love Your Smile’.

Pixie Lott is releasing a Japanese edition of her album “Young Foolish Happy” on March 21st. The deluxe edition will include three bonus tracks: Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh), Boys and Girls and Cry Me Out. “All About Tonight” was released as a single in Japan by Universal Music Japan yesterday.
It’s also confirmed that Pixie’s first single in the United States is “All About Tonight”.
One of Pixie’s biggest idols and music inspirations, Whitney Houston died in Beverly Hills yesterday.

Tinchy Stryder’s upcoming single, ‘Bright Lights’, featuring Pixie Lott is available to pre-order on iTunes now. The download includes the original track (explicit version), the instrumental version, one remix and an exclusive bonus track, ‘Generation’.
The single will be out on March 4th.
Pixie is nominated in the category British Single for ‘All About Tonight’ at the BRIT Awards 2012. The ceremony will take place at London’s O2 Arena on 21st February.
In 2010, Pixie got three nominations, but didn’t take home any awards. Let’s hope she will win this year.
