Singer Pixie Lott released her first album in 2009 at the tender age of 18. Since then she’s had six top 10 singles and recently released Platinum Pixie, including some of her greatest hits and new material. Pixie, 23, has been competing in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing and has also branched out into acting. She lives in east London with her boyfriend, model Oliver Cheshire.
“Performing on Strictly has given structure to my weekends, because normally no weekend is the same. I usually work on a Friday night doing a performance, TV show or event. If I’m not working, I’ll go out with all my friends to a club like Boujis in London. We’ll all get ready together at my house, doing our clothes and make-up.
“I love sleep, so on Saturday morning I insist on a lie-in. I’ll wake up around midday or 1pm and then it’s nice to see my family. My sister, Charlie-Ann, sometimes has us all around to her house, so I’ll go with my boyfriend and my parents will be there and sometimes my brother, Stephen. We’ll stay late into the evening or maybe overnight, since she lives out in the countryside in Essex.
“If I don’t go to my sister’s I enjoy shopping on a Saturday, especially at Christmas. I love the lights and wearing snuggly jumpers and getting a Christmas coffee from Starbucks.
I visit Carnaby Street and a shop called Browns on South Molton Street, which has a lot of unique stuff from up-and-coming designers.
“If I’m at home on a Sunday I’ll have another lie-in. My boyfriend’s more of an early bird so eventually he’ll try to get me out of bed. Then we might go to a place called Hawksmoor for a Sunday roast. We’ll walk back home and watch movies. I like scary films and Oliver likes action ones, so we usually settle on a comedy.
“On Sunday night we’ll have snacks and wine and get to bed early because Monday’s when we start all over again.”
The album Platinum Pixie, featuring the charity track Caravan Of Love, in aid of Matalan’s Alder Hey Alphabet Scarves campaign, is out now.
